GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT

Oakridge Golf Club family owned and operated 18 hole par 71 golf course, located just minutes away from Port Perry, Uxbridge, Ajax, Whitby, Ontario. We are a mid-tier golf public golf club with many recurrent play golfers.
We are seeking a superintendent in a permanent position. This position is ideal for any assistant superintendent or superintendent who brings with him all of the following job requirements:

• A minimum of 10 years experience at a golf course
• A valid Ontario Landscape Pesticide Application License with experience in application of fertilizer and pesticide
• IPM Certification and Accreditation
• Ability to organize and manage a crew, following a flexible budget
• Attention to detail essential
• Mechanical skills are an asset but not essential

The Job Descriptions includes the following:

• Hiring staff, and supervising and performing day to day course operations including modern computer irrigation and purchasing and applying fertilizer/ pesticide applications according to maintain standards required
• Leading , training, respecting staff, including hiring
• Maintaining of a safe and hazard free workplace
• Regular communication with fellow managers and gm, coordinating golf maintenance activities with head pro
• Proper record keeping and logs for water usage, gasoline usage, fertilization and chemical applications
• During winter months, reduced hours; i.e. mowing equipment maintenance, snow clearing at clubhouse/proshop driveway and Maintenance driveway, golf car rental fleet as required
